The following three lessons will guide you through the process of how to make bread. The lessons focus on activities that draw on various components of Information Processing theory. You are not required to complete the lesson activities, but you should explore the activities and consider how Information Processing Theory was used. Our goal is to use the lessons as examples of how Information Processing is a vital part of all learning curriculum.
Parallel to the lessons and activities, a flow chart of the various stages of Information Processing and their cognitive tools are displayed to enhance the connection between the theory and practical applications. We have chosen to use the Stage Model to highlight the three stages of processing.
By navigating through the three lessons, you will have a better understanding of the various ways in which Information Processing aids in learning. At the end of each lesson is a social discussion section which will allow you to build upon the knowledge of the page using your own experiences and feedback. Each discussion will focus on a different stage of the Information Processing theory.
